A Gulf petrochemicals operator

The shape of this problem
The answer exists and nobody can find it
The problem
Visitors needed conversational access to company, product, facility, location, and contact information. For an industrial operator this traffic is low-value but not low-volume: contractors, suppliers, applicants, and members of the public asking where to go, who to reach, and what a facility does. Each question is trivial in isolation and none of them are what reception or corporate communications exist to do, yet there was no route to the answers other than a person.
What we built
We reshaped the shared voice platform around a Gulf petrochemicals operator - removing the telecom account logic, adding a corporate knowledge tool, and building location and contact journeys into both phone and browser interactions.
What moved
| Measure | Before | After |
|---|---|---|
| Reception and switchboard contacts handled without a person | no prior measure | 64% |
| Average time to a location, contact or facility answer | 2.9 minutes | 31 seconds |
| Time to reshape the existing voice platform around a Gulf petrochemicals operator | no prior measure | ~3 weeks |

The ring is the whole of that measure. The grey arc is the other 36%.

Figures are from the practice's own delivery records for the engagement named, measured against the process that preceded it.
What it turned on
Reusing a proven platform meant the effort went into what was actually different - the corporate knowledge source and the location and contact journeys - rather than rebuilding turn management, escalation, and closure behaviour that had already been validated elsewhere.
